MOOC "Social psychology". Module 1.

In our course of public speaking we have to also learn about social psychology, because it is important to expand our horizons and dip deeper into psychology. For that purpose we have taken an online course. The first task was to pass the 1 Module and do a test. The course consists of 13 modules in which there are several lectures. One can watch videos or listen to audios to get new information.

In the 1^st lecture the author told about two different types of social psychology. Besides, I got know what the main object of social psychology. I think this branch of psychology is very interesting because we are all social beings. It is vital for us to understand the way how our society works.

In the second lecture there was some information about behavioral, cognitive, evolutional approaches of social psychology.

In the third lecture I learnt about types of research. The main types of research in social psychology are laboratory, field studies. According to the aim of research they can be subdivided into descriptive, experimental, correlative investigation.

In the fourth lecture it was given information about the methods of research: surveillance, questionnaire, test etc. These methods  can be also qualitative and quantitative.

The fifth lecture was about ethical code which a psychologist should consider while working with his clients.

I answered to 10 questions at the end of 1^st Module. They were quite interesting because they were provided with examples that helped me to understand better the task.
